To men with facial hair everywhere 

            In February 2002, while suffering the Internet I made the startling revelation that there was little to no published content pertaining to facial hair.  There existed an obvious need for a comprehensive resource of facial hair information.  I chose to satisfy this need by creating this website.  I took on the project with two initial aims. First, I wanted to categorize and name every facial hair style.  If the natural scientist could classify every living organism, why can�t the same be done for facial hair?  My second goal was to have real life examples of each style on record for people to view.  In a way, I wanted to create an online facial hair zoo. 

After some careful introspection into the negative ways North American�s view facial hair, I have decided to use this website as a means to make facial hair more acceptable by modern standards.  To accomplish this goal, I have chosen to create a club which could provide camaraderie and acceptance to those who wish to grow facial hair.  Any successful club must exclude people, so sorry women and children, but you�re not invited.  I can say with more than a little bit of irony that the only way for this club to increase the world�s tolerance of facial hair is to be intolerant of those who can not grow facial hair! 

My final goal for this site is to not make a dime.  In fact, I insist on losing money in this endeavor.  I hate surfing the Internet while being bombarded by annoying pop-ups and obnoxious banners.  You will find none of that crap on this website and if it only costs me $9.95 a month to bring it all to you, I think I�m getting a good deal.
